Certificate of Good Standing

What is also known as a “Certificate of Existence” – a Certificate of Good Standing, or “Certificate of Authorization” – is a document which is provided by the state which proves that your LLC or corporation has confirmed the statutory stipulations outlined and is now legally able to perform business within a state.

A Certificate of Good Standing proves that a particular business has submitted a proper annual report, is up-to-date with its franchise taxes, and has cleared its state fee costs. A Certificate of Good Standing will eventually be needed within the lifespan of a business.
